If the media to be submitted are clear, straight-forward, intelligent speaking, then the tape will take much less time than one that is of a highly technical focus group.

For general transcription at an hourly rate, the charge could range from $15 to $75 per hour. The average is about $30 an hour. (Expect highly technical rates to be slightly higher.)

For general transcription by the page, the rate is from $2.75 to $14.00 per page.

The goal is to produce professional, accurate work with superior spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and formatting.

Media Types

• If handwritten, it must be legible.
  
• We can accept copies of your original writing.
  
• We prefer that you not send originals via snail mail.
  
• We can accept scanned material in the following high-quality formats via email: .PNG, .GIF, or .TIF. If you can provide us with a clear .JPG, that would be acceptable.
  
• CD, DVD, DVR, .wma, .mp3, and .wav (possibly .m4a, .dss, .vox) (untried)
  
• Cassette (standard) is possible, but tricky.
• We will consider exceptions, and will work with you, depending on your need and our workload.
